As we celebrate 40 years of Sargent-Disc, we’re shining a spotlight on the people who have helped shape our journey. For our first employee spotlight, we’re featuring a team member whose career story perfectly reflects the opportunities, growth, and sense of family that define Sargent-Disc.
Twenty years ago, fresh out of sixth form, Kirstie joined Sargent-Disc as a receptionist. What was originally intended to be a temporary role quickly became the start of an inspiring two-decade career.
“It was only supposed to be a stop-gap job while I figured out what I wanted to do as a career!”
Over the years, one of her proudest achievements has been overcoming a fear of public speaking and representing the company on a panel for the National Film and Television School (NFTS).
“Overcoming my fear of public speaking and sitting on a panel for the NFTS was a big moment for me.”
Having spent two decades with the business, Kirstie has witnessed significant changes across the industry, particularly the growing importance of cybersecurity and the speed at which companies must adapt to stay secure in an ever-changing digital landscape.
What keeps her motivated every day is the opportunity to work alongside creative people and see how talent and collaboration bring remarkable projects to life, regardless of budget size.
“I enjoy meeting creative minds and seeing how they come together to make incredible projects with both big and small budgets. My career growth is entirely down to SD pushing me outside of my comfort zone and believing in me more than I believed in myself.”
Looking ahead, Kirstie is excited about the continued evolution of Sargent-Disc’s products and services, and the opportunities this creates to better support clients and drive the company’s growth.
