In September, Sargent-Disc Director Laurence Sargent met the newest scholarship students at the National Film and Television School.
"Production Managers are crucial to the production, maintaining professionalism, and quality throughout. The NFTS consistently trains high calibre specialists for all areas of Film and Television production, and Sargent-Disc is honoured to be able to financially support those who might not be able to attend otherwise." Dr. Laurence Sargent- Director, Sargent-Disc.
For the sixth consecutive year, Sargent-Disc is proud to support a scholarship for exceptional Production Management for Film and Television students at the National Film and Television School. On 12th September, Director Laurence Sargent visited the school to meet with the latest recipients of the scholarship.
(Alasdair Wilson, Joseph Phillips, Lisa Killen, Laurence Sargent)
Passionate about film and television production, Lisa and Joseph have both worked on short films before attending the NFTS. Joseph also added to his knowledge by helping out on some of the NFTS graduation films this summer, whilst Lisa secured work experience as a runner on long-running Irish soap opera, Ros na Rún.
During our visit, we discovered that despite the term only being a few weeks in, the pair already has a large workload to juggle, including several documentaries and a first year film. Having met Lisa and Joseph, we are certain that they will be able to manage this efficiently and look forward to following their time at the NFTS over the next year.
