Sargent-Disc will attend the 2017 Triforce Short Film Festival on Saturday 2nd December, taking part in two seminars during the day.
We are thrilled to announce our involvement in the 6th annual Triforce Short Film Festival on Saturday 2nd December at Bafta, 195 Piccadilly. Sargent-Disc will host and participate in a CrewStart™ workshop, as well as contribute to a finance seminar later the same morning. Read on for full details of each seminar and information on how to book tickets.
11:30 - 12:30
Dr. Laurence Sargent, Director of Sargent-Disc, will chair a workshop which will enhance attendees' understanding and ability to organise and approve contracts for crew and artists. The workshop will brief participants on the need for, and the application of contracts, discuss and introduce standard crew contracts and presents CrewStart™ - the cloud based Digital Production Office ® contracting application from Sargent-Disc.
The freelance nature of the film industry can make organising
standard crew and talent contracts a time consuming task for small
productions. If you're working on your first feature, or a funded
short film, this workshop will help you understand the importance
of contracting. It will explore how to manage the contract process
easily to protect your production and ensure you are compliant with
UK legislation - helping to secure funding and the UK film tax
credit. All your questions about contracts will be answered in this
one hour session.
The panel will include:
13:00 - 14:20
The seminar will explore ways to fund your film from crowdfunding to BFI lottery money. A very popular seminar last year, the funding landscape has changed again, so make sure you attend for up to date information on what funding is out there. It will also show how to manage your production budget and keep funders happy.
