Royal Television Society Celebrates 90th in Style

Sargent-Disc director, Dr. Laurence Sargent, was recently invited to join the 90th anniversary celebrations of the Royal Television Society(RTS). Sargent-Disc's status as a Major Patron of the RTS enables the company to get involved in and help support the society's diverse range of events from their Anatomy of a Hit series to their annual Student Awards.

A reception was held at ITV Studios in London on Wednesday 31st January in order to commemorate the RTS's 90th anniversary. The organisation was delighted to have their Royal Highnesses Prince Charles and Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall make a special visit to the reception. Prince Charles has been patron of the RTS since 1997 and received an RTS Gold Medal, before cutting a cake to mark the occasion.

Other attendees of the event included Secretary of State Matt Hancock, Chief Executive of ITV Dame Carolyn McCall, Chief Executive of Channel 4 Alex Mahon, BBC Director of Content Charlotte Moore, and the RTS bursary recipients. The RTS Bursary Scheme aims to help people from lower income backgrounds access the industry.
