The NFTS consistently trains professional, well-organised, financial and computer-literate Production Managers - crucial to maintaining production quality. Earlier this month, we celebrated the achievements of the 2012 graduates of the National Film and Television School (NFTS) Production Management Diploma.
Sargent-Disc was delighted to spotlight this year's talent by presenting three awards in recognition of student excellence:
Movie Magic Budgeting; James O'Donnell for the fiction film 'All Men's Dead'
Movie Magic Scheduling; Esteban Frost for the fiction film 'Skyborn'
Movie Magic Budgeting and Scheduling; Carolina Sganzerla for her fiction film 'Il Conte'
Congratulations to the winners and to all of the students on the 2012 NFTS Production Management Diploma. In addition to Movie Magic Software, the winners received 12 months software mentoring and support and John Sargent (Founder, Sargent-Disc) has offered to run the Budgeting Big Budget Features and Cost Reporting Workshop for the whole 2012 graduating class.
Movie Magic enables fast and accurate estimation of the cost of shooting, an easy breakdown of the script, and the management of virtually any production schedule. Along with a good script, the importance of an accurate budget and schedule cannot be underestimated. Whether you are trying to raise finance, planning for different scenarios or coping with the unexpected, the success or failure of a production depends on it!
