EE BAFTA FIlm Awards 2013 Winners

Congratulations to all the 2013 EE BAFTA Film Award nominees and winners!

The subjects of this years winning films ranged from slavery and old age to terrorists and hostages with superb contenders across the action, romantic comedy, drama and musical film genres.

Always a star studded event, this year was no exception. Presenters included Samuel L Jackson, Danny Boyle, Ben Wishaw, Simon Pegg along with nominees Ben Affleck, Bradley Cooper, Sally Field, Jennifer Lawrence and George Clooney.

Sargent- Disc are particularly delighted to celebrate our clients' successes.  Four EE BAFTA Film Awards went to Les  Misérables:

  • Supporting Actress: Anne Hathaway
  • Make Up and Hair: Lisa Westcott
  • Production Design: Eve Stewart and Anna Lynch-Robinson
  • Sound: Simon Hayes, Andy Nelson, Mark Paterson, Jonathan Allen, Lee Walpole and John Warhurst.

Jacqueline Durran also won the EE BAFTA Film Award for her Costume Designs on Anna Karenina.

Unusually this year, European talent won three of the four major acting awards:

  • Emmanuelle Riva: Leading Actress, Amour
  • Daniel Day-Lewis: Leading Actor, Lincoln
  • Christoph Waltz: Supporting Actor, Django Unchained

Another special moment was when producer and screen writer Michael G Wilson collected the Outstanding British Film Award for Skyfall - the first time in the Bond franchise's 50 year history that it has won a major award celebrating the creativity and quality of the production. Previous franchise wins include Ted Moore's BAFTA for Cinematography on From Russia With Love, the 1964 Sound Effects Oscar for Goldfinger and 1965 Visual Effects Oscar for Thunderball.
