2017 Broadcast Awards Winners Revealed

Sargent-Disc was delighted to sponsor the 2017 Broadcast Awards, hosted by Jonathan Ross, which took place on Wednesday 1st February at Grosvenor House Hotel in London.

 

The evening, attended by many industry professionals, celebrated the best in television, with 21 awards distributed across a range of categories.

 

Channel 4 picked up 7 awards at this year's Broadcast Awards including the sought after Channel of the Year award, maintaining their success from the 2016 Ceremony. The broadcaster also took home Best Drama Series for Warp's This Is England '90, Best Single Drama for Touchpaper Television's Ellen and Best Entertainment Programme for Open Mike's The Last Leg.

It's success continued with Monkey Kingdom's The Question Jury awarded Best Daytime Programme, ITN Productions' Interview With a Murderer deemed Best Documentary Programme and Best Sports Programme for it's live coverage of the Rio 2016 Paralympic Games.

On the other hand, following its move online less than a year ago, BBC3 took home the Best Multichannel Programme and Best Original Programme for Two Brothers comedy Fleabag.
