In this edition of the Payroll & Accounting newsletter we focus on Auto Enrolment for the Creative Industries and provide you with key information to help you tackle this topic.

We also bring you the highlights from the Take A Break: Co-Production and Maximising Tax Incentives event, held at BAFTA on Thursday 22nd January.

This month we also celebrate our new partnerships with both The UK Screen Association and The Production Guild of Great Britain.

Finally, we are running a number of Movie Magic Budgeting and Scheduling training courses. Read on to find out more.

We are very pleased to announce that Sargent-Disc is now a member and sponsor of The UK Screen Association. Sargent-Disc supported their recent event: Auto Enrolment for the Creative Industries, which was held at Wiggin LLP headquarters in London on 12th February.

The informative session discussed the operational, contractual and financial aspects of Auto Enrolment through a series of presentations and an engaging panel discussion.

Our Auto Enrolment insight provides details of the responsibilities companies and productions have to their workers. It identifies the necessary stages, levels of employer and employee contributions, and includes details of SD Auto Enrolment, Sargent-Disc's pension and payroll system, designed to provide an integrated and modular payroll solution for your company or production.

Sargent-Disc was delighted to support the Take A Break: Co-Production and Maximising Tax Incentives event, held at BAFTA on Thursday 22nd January.

The well attended event featured an excellent panel that covered the key changes to the enhanced Irish Section 418 tax incentive and the opportunities they offer to production companies.

For the second time, Sargent-Disc was delighted to sponsor the Broadcast Awards which took place on Wednesday 4th February at Grosvenor House Hotel, London.

Over 1200 guests came together to celebrate the very best in Television. Over 20 awards were presented across a range of categories at the 20th anniversary of the Awards.

The 2015 Awards season is nearly over and once again it has been an excellent year for British talent with lots to celebrate.

Congratulations to all of our client's on their nominations and wins at The Golden Globes, the BAFTAs and the Academy Awards.

Congratulations also to our Academic Partner The National Film & Television School whose students and graduates won both BAFTA short film prizes for the second year running. The Bigger Picture won Best Short Animation and Boogaloo & Graham won Best Short Film.

Our Movie Magic Budgeting and Scheduling courses are approved by Creative Skillset. Eligible applicants can access up to 80% of course costs from their Management and Leadership Bursary scheme.

Each training session lasts for approximately 3 hours and takes place at our offices at Pinewood Studios.
