Payroll & Accounting newsletter, May 2011

We are very pleased to bring you the latest edition of Sargent-Disc's Payroll & Accounting newsletter. In this edition we take a look at the impact of age in the film industry and provide an interactive chart for you to see the results for each department. We also celebrate the twenty fifth anniversary of Sargent-Disc and feature two worthwhile charity events that we are supporting. Upcoming training dates for Movie Magic and Vista Accounting are included and we highlight an event on transatlantic tax incentives with our industry partners Bafta. We hope you will find it interesting.

Age of progression

In this, the second in a series of statistical analyses of production departments in the UK film industry, we have gone back over three years to investigate the impact of age on career progression and employment.

As Sargent-Disc celebrates a quarter century of providing payroll services, we look at the representation of the youngest and oldest men and women across a range of production departments in the UK film industry.

Happy Birthday Sargent-Disc

On May the 19th this year, Sargent-Disc celebrates twenty five years of providing payroll, accounting and software services to the film and television industries. Founded in 1986 by John and Marija Sargent, Sargent-Disc is a family run business affiliated with Entertainment Partners, which prides itself on providing tailor made services for production.
